Do you love computer games or hate them? Whatever your point of view, you are not alone! Such games tend to bring about extreme reactions in people, and there is little middle ground. Why is this? Let’s find out.

First, some online games are designed for learning purposes. For instance, when the characters are talking and interacting, they might say words you’ve never heard before. So, you could look them up and start using them in your daily life.

Plus, video games are designed to provide a temporary distraction. This escape can help you as a student to relax and alleviate your stress. If the player wants to engage and relish the experience in the gameplay, he/she can do it by selection the multiplayer option and play with his/her friends or play with students around the world.

Finally, some computer games integrate some simulator of situations. One example can be the online game “Habbo” which allows you to create avatars and participate in various virtual scenarios such as parties, classes etc. You can interact with other avatars by using your microphone or writing in the chat box. Engaging with such games can help you understanding the different social situations.

In conclusion, in my view, computer games aren’t a total waste of time and money because they offer some benefits like improving your vocabulary, providing relaxation, and learning how to behave in some situations. These aspects contribute positively to personal and scholar growth and recreation.
